Requirements for foreign citizens to obtain business visa support to Kazakhstan

Visa support (a.k.a. invitation, letter, confirmation, or voucher) is a document that allows you to obtain a visa.
All invitations will be processed through the Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
We will start processing your visa support on the same day if we receive documents before 6.00 p.m. EST, or they will go in processing the next business day.
To obtain your visa, you have to submit your support's copy along with required paperwork to Kazakhstan consulate/embassy of your choice.
Kazakhstan visa support is sent via TELEX from the MFA to the consulate.
A copy of this document will be E-MAILED (of faxed, if e-mail address is missing) to you.
As of February 15 The Kazakh Government no longer requires Visa Support for US or Canadians (UK as well) citizens who are traveling for business or tourists and are applying for the following entry visa: Single entry 30 days
However a detailed letter outlining specific dates, address of stay and inviting person, host or organization you will contact while in Kazakhstan.
Tourism: Letter needs to be written by applicant. This includes those traveling with tour groups. Tour group operator cannot write the letter on behalf on applicant (It is my feeling that this will change but for now this is what they are asking for)
Business: Must be on company Letterhead with standard wording, i.e. financial responsibility for applicant, etc.
